Membership
It takes many talented people
to run a successful Theatre Company. Obviously we need actors and
directors but in addition we need Stage Managers, Stage Crew, Lighting
Technicians, Sound Technicians, Costume Designers (and makers),
Artists, Carpenters, Electricians, Ushers, Bar Attendants, Tea-Makers,
"Gofers" - you name it, we can use it!
Why not come along to one of
our productions and see what we do, or roll up at a rehearsal and
you just might get roped in for something.
MTC is an equal opportunity exploiter so don't be shy - come and
join us!
Our current membership structure
is as follows:
Full Adult Member: $20 per
year
Family (2 people): $30 per year
Concession (Pensioners & Under 18's) : $15 per year
"Friends of Melville Theatre" : $12 per year
Youth Group : $10 per year.
All
members except the Youth Group receive a monthly Newsletter keeping
them up-to-date on people and events, a discount on tickets, i.e.
$13 instead of the usual price of $15 (for the member only) and
are welcome to come to our Social events.
In addition, Full Members (including Concession Members) are eligible
to audition for and take part in our productions and may vote at
the Annual General Meeting. They are also eligible to join the Management
Committee.
"Friends" also receive the discount and are welcome at
our Social functions but may not be in any of our productions and
may not be a Committee Member. Youth Group Members receive no Newsletter
or discount and are eligible to take part only in Youth Group productions.
Our membership year runs from
1st May to 30th April and our Membership Officer is currently Stuart
