Although,
as her name implies, Laura has an Italian background, she was
born in Durban, South Africa 27 years ago, arriving in Perth
with her family at the age of ten.
Theatre
has been in Laura's blood since an early age. She started studying
classical ballet when she was five and has since learned tap,
contemporary, salsa and jazz. She loves to perform and appeared
in many school productions both here and in South Africa.
In Perth she studied Theatre Arts at Santa Maria College from
Year 8 to Year 12 and won the Year 11 and 12 Theatre Arts Award.
After leaving school she qualified as a Primary School Teacher.
Laura
has appeared in Yellow Rose of Texas (1997) for Waroona
Repertory Company and in The Trial of Moondyne Joe
(2000) for Fremantle Gaol. Since joining Melville she has acted
in Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and Heir Today,
Gone Tomorrow and has handled props and worked backstage
for several other productions. She is currently MTC's Publicity
Officer and is enjoying the challenge.
With
her combination of beauty, talent and enthusiasm, Laura is a
definite asset to Melville. Thank you Laura!
